Stealing a Little Sunshine

"Sunny Days, Everybody Loves Them..."  It's all about perspective; the perfect day can make everything in life seem better.  Take that quote for instance, it's from the New Edition Song, "Can You Stand the Rain", typically a somber introspect, however, I decided to flip it and use it to inspire some fashion gold!!

If the color yellow doesn't inspire some greatness in you, I truly believe Hades should be your new vacation destination of choice, as a matter of fact, go ahead and take up permanent residency!!  For goodness sakes, it's the color God chose to make Sunshine, the single most important element to life on this planet.

GET OVER YOURSELF QUICKLY BEFORE THE REST OF THE WORLD DOES!!

Wearing just one piece of golden goodness has the potential to improve even the sallowest of moods, and immediately helping others to see you differently.  The color can be found everywhere from full on jumpsuits for brave hearts to a simple cardigan for our more modest mavens.  It can even satisfy our inner diva by manifesting itself in the perfect ankle length denim cigarette pants to pair with our favorite animal print pieces.

For those of us who feel like they can't pull the color off in the physical in any capacity, think outside the box.  Smell is one our most powerful and engaging senses.  It has the ability to take us places in our minds we haven't been since childhood, and remind us of our safe havens.  Make an edition to your mind palace and spray on a scent that reflects the color.  Even just SEEING sunshine yellow in something pretty and shiny daily can make your day better(and it doesn't hurt if that perfume happens to be one of the most delicious smells your nose has ever come across either!).

The moral of the story is to take your cues from The ultimate source of warmth and light, The Sun.  There is most certainly therapeutic elements in that big, bright, beacon of energy.  Brighten up your life!!

Crystals and Couture

Those just might be my 2 favorite C words known to man!  With the start of a new year, it's only right I acquire a little bit of both!  I've had my eyes peeled for the past few weeks for all of the best sales; I had my heart set on a new piece of Rainbow Tourmaline and Rose Quartz(see below for crystal properties and uses if you aren't familiar!).  At the same time, I have also been dreaming of some new bags; crossbodys and a satchel, to be specific; a little on the fancy side though.  All of my work was not in vain because guess what?!  Marshall's is now carrying Badgley Mischka handbags and wallets-mike drop...but it gets even BETTER-not one item is priced over $29.99!!  Wait, What?!  Yes Please!!  Amazon has 1 lb of Raw Rainbow Tourmaline AND Rose Quartz for under $15.00.  I also came across a National Geographic Rock Polisher for $39.99!!  Your girl is absolutely THRILLED!!  What crystals do you have your eye on?!  Have you guys come up on any superstar purse deal

You Only Owe YOURSELF

I had an epiphany the other day... What if we put all the energy we expel on others that is foolishly wasted BACK into ourselves, our life dreams, and into creating the world we CHOOSE to live in??!! Before we all become hopelessly selfish and self-involved, re-read, and take in the thought in its ENTIRETY!!!  I am talking SPECIFICALLY in instances where your positive energy, time, and effort are not being reciprocated. There are so many situations we find ourselves in to which we develop an animosity of sorts towards those we are actively trying to help when we don’t feel that same energy being returned to us in one form or another.  Yet, we are taking umbridge with the wrong individual.  The person we should be focusing those feelings is right there waiting on the other side of the mirror.  That is who entangled you and your resources to an individual making moves to which your higher self is not in agreement.  This is who we should look to for explanation and a game

Being Present

This Moment, the one happening right now, is ALL that there is.  Allow me to explain... Yes, there is a past, things that have already happened.  What must be understood about these events is, once they happen, they are OVER.  It's gone.  If it is any point in time that you are not actively engaged in, that point does not currently exist.  The principle is also works on the inverse; anything that has yet to occur, has yet to come into existence , and should have absolutely NO bearing on what is currently happening to you. Our past is a experienced-based tool from which to learn and grow FORWARD.  It is not meant to trap us or the people in our lives, preventing our best lives from being brought to fruition.  If there is something behind you, LET IT GO.  Grasp the lesson and understand that there is no going back.  On the same note, we must also do the same when it comes to anticipation of events yet to come.  Being wrapped up in anxiety of how something MAY play out
