Hold On..

Have you ever wondered why it is when we greet someone we care about we hug?  Why are we not simply by being in their company?  What is it inside us that compels us to join one body to another?  It's almost like a magnet, drawing you in... This is no mere coincidence, and does not happen simply because the individual is too irresistible not to touch...It is a genuine physical transfer of energy.  In addition to the tons of endorphins released, the embrace is literally putting a piece of yourself into another person, and vice versa.  You are able to FEEL the individual, from the inside out.  Our hearts and minds are totally in the know about this occurrence, which is why you feel "drawn" to the person to engage in this contact. Funny how our minds and hearts are full of information about things that are vital to our survival that we never contemplate or stop to think about.  While we may be performing an act that is seemingly second nature,...

You Only Owe YOURSELF

I had an epiphany the other day... What if we put all the energy we expel on others that is foolishly wasted BACK into ourselves, our life dreams, and into creating the world we CHOOSE to live in??!! Before we all become hopelessly selfish and self-involved, re-read, and take in the thought in its ENTIRETY!!!  I am talking SPECIFICALLY in instances where your positive energy, time, and effort are not being reciprocated. There are so many situations we find ourselves in to which we develop an animosity of sorts towards those we are actively trying to help when we don’t feel that same energy being returned to us in one form or another.  Yet, we are taking umbridge with the wrong individual.  The person we should be focusing those feelings is right there waiting on the other side of the mirror.  That is who entangled you and your resources to an individual making moves to which your higher self is not in agreement.  This is who we should look to for...

Happiness on Your Terms

If you are down, what turns it around for you?  Is it music, fresh air, the company of positive people etc?!  But is it really ANY of those things that hold the true power for change? You know, I find myself the most happy when I am staying TRUE TO MYSELF.  What I find most painful in life is having to endure and live up to the expectations of others.  Oftentimes this can lead to the pursuit of things and opportunities that we are less than passionate about.   Anne Shirley Cuthbert helped to put me back on track the other day by speaking some of the truest words I have ever heard.  In a nutshell, she said personal success is a guarantee as long as you are in “Pursuit of your Passion”.  Beautiful alliteration aside, this is soooo real.  If you are in perfect sync with what it is you want in life, REGARDLESS of outside influence and what is said, then why is it that you’re NOT the captain of your LIFE vessel?!! FEAR??? I say this with three question...

The Greatest Story Ever Told: The Missing Pages

Now this is what I’m talking about,  a little literary therapy!!  Our thoughts are complicated enough to keep straight, so why not write it all down?!  I am an avid believer in putting thoughts down on paper(obviously!), but the therapeutic benefits are phenomenal!! There are so many ways to keep a personal journal.  You can use it to record and interpret your dreams, it can be a place you write your goals/aspirations and begin to manifest them into real life; it can even be a place to vent frustrations.  Regardless of what you choose to write down, those blank pages will always be there for you. It’s the quiet, patient ear you have longed for in a friend, but with the added benefit of only giving you the response you want to hear.  It’s also a wonderful source of self-reflection and a way to watch yourself grow. Even the most novice of authors can keep a journal the emergence of the “bullet list journal”, in which case you are just listing off thoughts, id...
