Pay Attention



Are you familiar with the expression, “like the blind leading the blind”?  If not, it’s specifically referring to the phenomenon that occurs in which the person who is supposed to lead and be familiar with whatever the situation may be is just as oblivious as the individual seeking guidance.  Generally, the person who sought them out is so relieved to have someone else lead, they blindly follow.  Moreover, they ACCEPT the task and begin the false advisement process...WTF?!  

This fuckery stops now.  I find it particularly corney that a person would rather follow behind anyone or anything based off the opinions of the so called “court of popular opinion”.  Look at that last statement and truly dissect it: Court-a place to be tried, convicted, and judged.  Popular-what is actively consumed by the masses and subject to change at a moments notice.  Opinion-an individual’s personal perspective of a particular situation and/or scenario; not necessarily based on any standing fact.

Ok, so let me fully understand the rationale...

A group of people I more than likely don’t know have been granted permission to 1st alter my perspective, JUDGE me based off something potentially fleeting, passing as quickly as the breeze; finally, pass on some drivel they pulled from God knows where that I am to implement and allow to infiltrate my life and the sanctity of my Mind Palace?!  #wheretheydothatat. This is some ignorant  shit. Straight up.

Get out of the victim mentality.  Pay attention to what it is you are taking in, and exactly what is HAPPENING.  Your only obligation is to be true to yourself.  Stop being lazy and start being more proactive about the choices you are making, ensuring the decision was truly yours.  Don’t sell yourself short by fulfilling some misguided desire to conform.  As your own expert, you are able to curate the life you deserve, and make EVERY decision about what about what is to be contained therein. ~The Queen

Out of My Element

Have you ever had something happen, either directly or indirectly, that shakes shit up in your world so much in that moment that it leaves you contemplating whether or not what just occurred was real?  As of late, this is a feeling that I have become all too familiar with. What I noticed happening was that I was allowing whatever happened to hijack my day and consume my energy.  In these moments, all I could feel myself yearning for was my routine and the things in everyday life that renew me everyday... So why wasn't I doing these things to get myself out of this weird space??!!
