With the New Moon in Virgo last week, that means The Full Harvest Moon in Aries follows close behind in just 10 days. It's the closest full moon to the Fall Equinox, earning it's title. What better time to "harvest" the intentions set at past Moons...It's a time when you are at your most powerful energetically; Ideal for manifesting the desires of your heart. This phase of the Moon is most useful for:
- Purification
- Rituals for Renewal
- Sex Magic
- Divination
- Psychic Enhancement
- Spirit Work
- Love Drawing
- Justice
- Female Empowerment
- Ancestral Veneration
- Wish Fulfillment
The Moon, her fullest incarnation is represented by the Egyptian Goddess Isis; "The embodiment of fertility, abundance, and illumination." The moon is in its most "powerfully feminine" energy at this time. It has the juice to make ANY seeds planted flower. With all that being said, IDK about ya'll, but I Need ALL of that! Something I Swear by when it comes to my energetic hygiene is Smudging. Originally Native American, it's true origins can be traced back to ancient Egypt in ceremonies used to fend off evil. It's "...the act of burning a natural substance for a specific reason, historically for cleansing, healing, and spiritual purposes." Use it to clear negativity, increase your focus on intention setting, or anytime you are feeling sad or stuck. Here are my top 4 choices, and some of the most common bundles used in Smudging:
- Sage: Healing and Dispelling Negative Energy
- Lavender: Restores Balance and Peace
- Cedar: Purifying and Positive Energy Attraction
- Sweetgrass: Blessing
✰Note: The Process Shouldn't Be Rushed. Give Yourself at Least 15 Minutes; ensuring you are focused on the reason-making the practice Very Intentional...
Place water under the light of the Full Moon to create Moon Water is also a great practice that provides some amazing benefits. It can be used as soon as the next day for drinking(which, BTW, is quite honestly the most crisp and refreshing water I have ever tasted!), bathing, and other rituals. It can be stored in a cool, dry place covered. A Moon Bath that includes items such as:
- Pink Himalayan Salt
- Essential Oils such as Lavender
- Herbs such as Rose Petals
- Crystals like:
- Rose Quartz(unconditional love, compassion, peace)
- Clear Quartz(power)
- Moonstone(connecting to your inner goddess)
- Amethyst(protection, intuition, higher self)
is also an excellent way to feel connected to the beauty of the Lunar Phase. Don't be afraid to customize things and truly make it your own; It's YOUR World! The more personal, the more Powerful...
Are you guys out there tapping into the Moon's Energy? What are some of the ways you are honoring yourself and the Universe throughout the transitions of lunar cycles?
