Emotional Rollercoaster

Emotion is any conscious experience[1][2][3]characterized by intense mental activity and a certain degree of pleasure or displeasure.[4][5]Scientific discourse has drifted to other meanings and there is no consensus on a definition. Emotion is often intertwined with moodtemperamentpersonalitydisposition, and motivation.[6] In some theories, cognition is an important aspect of emotion. Those acting primarily on the emotions they are feeling may seem as if they are not thinking, but mental processes are still essential, particularly in the interpretation of events. For example, the realization of our believing that we are in a dangerous situation and the subsequent arousal of our body's nervous system (rapid heartbeat and breathing, sweating, muscle tension) is integral to the experience of our feeling afraid. Other theories, however, claim that emotion is separate from and can precede cognition.   Source: Wikipedia

How cut and dry.  For something that torments is from our first breath to our last, you would think the definition would be far more complex.  In short, emotion is the label given to the body’s response to certain situations.

We humans in our quest to be the most complicated beings within all of creation have muddled things up, yet again.

Not to over simplify matters, but a serious distinction MUST be made between Emotions and Feelings, and the association between the two.  The way I like to view it is like this:  my brain is an organic computer, my inner self/spirit is a programmer.  Feelings would be the the True experience, Emotions would be the program provided to my brain to simulate feeling in an attempt at true understanding.  The only problem with this scenario is that with the way our world is set up today, writtled with over saturation, sooo many more times than not, we are not only experiencing them both simultaneously, but reacting and responding to certain situations with both as well.

Let’s get one thing straight, right now.  In case you in the previous analogy, emotions are SIMULATIONS, not real.  “Wait, What??!”  You wonder why you want to confront a situation immediately?  So that you still harbor the emotion that was associated with it to give your words more impact.  As a matter of fact,  if we wait too long to express how we “feel”, most times we find those so called feelings fading, and not as impactful as we thought.  It’s because no real “feelings” were ever associated with the incident in the first place.  It was all emotion.

Happy/Sad/Angry etc are all states of mind, and can be changed and manipulated to suit the individual need.  Feelings are uncontrollable and nearly impossible to manipulate or change.  Learning to differentiate the two and applying this to everyday life, especially relationships, will have enormous impact on your interactions with others, and help to keep you focused on what is REALLY important to you.  Think about it, when talking to the person you love, what voice do you want them to hear, the one that is constant and unchanging, or the one that changes based on mood??!!👀. Speak first from a place of LOVE, the rest will fall into place just as it should.

You Only Owe YOURSELF

I had an epiphany the other day... What if we put all the energy we expel on others that is foolishly wasted BACK into ourselves, our life dreams, and into creating the world we CHOOSE to live in??!! Before we all become hopelessly selfish and self-involved, re-read, and take in the thought in its ENTIRETY!!!  I am talking SPECIFICALLY in instances where your positive energy, time, and effort are not being reciprocated. There are so many situations we find ourselves in to which we develop an animosity of sorts towards those we are actively trying to help when we don’t feel that same energy being returned to us in one form or another.  Yet, we are taking umbridge with the wrong individual.  The person we should be focusing those feelings is right there waiting on the other side of the mirror.  That is who entangled you and your resources to an individual making moves to which your higher self is not in agreement.  This is who we should look to for explanation and a game

Being Present

This Moment, the one happening right now, is ALL that there is.  Allow me to explain... Yes, there is a past, things that have already happened.  What must be understood about these events is, once they happen, they are OVER.  It's gone.  If it is any point in time that you are not actively engaged in, that point does not currently exist.  The principle is also works on the inverse; anything that has yet to occur, has yet to come into existence , and should have absolutely NO bearing on what is currently happening to you. Our past is a experienced-based tool from which to learn and grow FORWARD.  It is not meant to trap us or the people in our lives, preventing our best lives from being brought to fruition.  If there is something behind you, LET IT GO.  Grasp the lesson and understand that there is no going back.  On the same note, we must also do the same when it comes to anticipation of events yet to come.  Being wrapped up in anxiety of how something MAY play out
